Salary Range: $82,440 to $96,178 based on qualifications and experience
Reports to: Principal Investigator, the co-director of the investigator’s lab, and other collaborators.
Job Summary:
The Rocky Mountain Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (MIRECC) seeks a Lab Manager who will work under the supervision of Dr. Lauren Borges. Dr. Borges is a Clinical Research Psychologist, Director of Training for the Rocky Mountain MIRECC, and an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. Her research involves investigating applications of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to disrupt moral injury and suicidal behavior among Veterans, active-duty Service members, and with healthcare providers. This position would support managing her lab’s clinical trials research. The location of this position is at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center and telework is available.

Specific responsibilities may include the following:
- Lab management (e.g., managing research assistants; managing timelines for various projects; SOP development; portfolio budget management).
- Project management (e.g. tracking timelines and milestones; communications management; project budget development, execution, and reporting).
- Regulatory compliance and research audits.
- Documentation and reporting.
- Recruitment, screening, interviewing and scheduling study subjects.
- Perform human subjects’ data collection (e.g., survey administration, computerized data input and export, data management).
- Qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Dissemination of research findings (e.g., support manuscript writing, presentation of results, research reports, and use of alternative and social media).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree (BS or BA) or higher in a related field
- 3-5 years experience in human subjects research
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience working independently with minimal direction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing a research lab or coordinating multiple research studies
- Prior experience working with mental health populations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- Proven ability to work with participants with high complexity, both medically and psychosocially
- Desire to learn and work collaboratively with a team
- Ability to work individually and as a team to support team-based science
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Work Environment:
- This job operates in a business-casual office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

- You may be required to wear a facial mask and/or work remotely.
